Kimberly Eakin, a retired US Army sergeant and the sales & marketing for Class3only.com, published a book this summer that is taking the firearms industry by storm. Full Metal Coloring: A Book of Down Range Reflection takes a different spin on adult coloring.
Adult coloring has become increasingly popular over the last few years. Kimberly looked at the industry and soon realized that there were few that offered strong, patriotic themes. Through her connections in the professional firearms community, Kimberly enlisted the help of her world class friends, Julie Golob, Brian Zins, Sandra Uptagrafft, and Jim Henderson. Soon thereafter, the project grew to include other shooting greats like Jerry Miculek, Dustin Ellerman, and superstar hunter, Michael Waddell of Bone Collector.
“I was caught off guard by the reception of my book,” said Kimberly, “I wasn’t sure if anyone would even notice. But notice they did!”
Full Metal Coloring was featured in many of the major firearms publications to include Guns & Ammo AR-15 #3, the December issue of American Rifleman, also in the popular blogs of Womens Outdoor News, Guns.com, Wide Open Spaces, The Truth About Guns and AmmoLand. Kimberly has also been interviewed on podcasts, GunTalk with Tom Gresham (Tom appears in the book), the Women’s Gun Show, and Roanoke Advice Givers.
Kimberly said, “I’m a vet. I understand coloring is a healthy activity in times of uncertainty and stress. I dedicated my book to my brothers & sisters in uniform because it’s them, most of all, I’d like to help.”
